Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Business Growth and Sales: Ensure the protection of team members, physical assets, and corporate facilities, and increase profitability by supporting field leadership teams on emergency preparedness and physical security procedures.
  • Lead and Support District and Group Teams: Resolve significant safe and secure incidents, such as robbery, burglary, and arson, and provide training and education to field leaders to anticipate and identify shortage risks.
  • Investigate and Resolve Complex Cases: Lead and close complex market and national theft cases, including organized retail crime, fencing operations, fraud, supply chain, brand, and reputational issues.
  • Develop and Investigate Major Cases: Use methods of prevention, detection, investigation, resolution, and recovery to develop and investigate major organized external and internal cases that may result in significant loss.
  • Support and Train Business Partners: Provide hands-on training of investigative tactics, build relationships with other retail associations, and assist in legislative action regarding organized retail crime and retail theft.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following essential qualifications:

  • 4-Year Degree or Equivalent Experience: A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as criminal justice, law enforcement, or a related field, or equivalent experience in retail assets protection or loss prevention.
  • 3+ Years of Retail Assets Protection/Loss Prevention or Criminal Justice Experience: Proven experience in retail assets protection, loss prevention, or criminal justice, with a strong understanding of internal and external theft investigations tactics and apprehending subjects.
  • Meet State or Local Licensure and/or Other Legal Requirements: Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
  • Proven Execution Skills and Ability to Drive Change: A proven track record of driving change and achieving results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

In addition to the essential qualifications, the following preferred qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience Preventing and/or Addressing Organized Retail Crime: Proven experience in preventing and/or addressing organized retail crime, with a strong understanding of the latest trends and best practices.
  • Experience Interviewing Theft Subjects: Experience interviewing theft subjects, with a strong understanding of investigative tactics and techniques.
  • Working Knowledge of CCTV/DVR Equipment and Systems: A working knowledge of CCTV/DVR equipment and systems, with the ability to operate and maintain these systems.
  • Ability to Travel Within Market Area: The ability to travel within the market area, as required, to support business needs and investigate cases.
