Job Summary
In this remote position, you will be responsible for entering new prescriptions, processing exceptions, and making contact with physician offices and patients. Additionally, you will assist in back-end efforts such as picking, packing, and manifesting based on business needs. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a strong understanding of pharmacy operations. Although this role is fully remote, the successful candidate must reside in the state of Pennsylvania.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides pharmacist call back and/or patient quality assurance support to ensure high levels of patient satisfaction and care.
- Enters patient demographics and prescription information into the data processing system with accuracy and efficiency.
- Works with new patient/new referral imaging folders, ensuring all necessary information is processed correctly.
- Loads insurance plan and coordination of benefits into the data processing system for new patients and referrals.
- Participates in the review and audit of test claims for new patients and referrals to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Handles the processing of reorders and email distribution as needed, maintaining clear communication with patients and healthcare providers.
- Responsible for image indexing and AE report filing, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and accessible.
- Provides primary support and expertise for specialized programs such as ETT or Pharma, requiring a deep understanding of these programs and their applications.
- Performs job responsibilities listed for programs that require special handling or provide support for specific disease states, demonstrating adaptability and a patient-centered approach.
- Other registered and/or licensed responsibilities as judgment or necessity dictates, showcasing a proactive and flexible attitude towards work.

Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma from an accredited school or equivalent GED.
- Must have an active pharmacy technician license or certification as required by the state Board of Pharmacy.
- 1 year of work experience in healthcare, specialty pharmacy, PBM, and/or call center settings, demonstrating an understanding of healthcare operations and customer service principles.
- Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Basic knowledge of and skills using MS Windows, MS Office Suite, and/or similar operating/software programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate in a diplomatic and confidential manner.
- Prior experience in a remote or work-from-home setting, showcasing self-motivation and discipline.
