About the Role

As a Lobby Customer Service Representative, you will be the face of Denver Human Services, providing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers. You will work in a fast-paced environment, responding to customer inquiries, completing accurate data entry, and issuing electronic benefit cards. Your role will be critical in supporting our community, and we are looking for individuals who are passionate about making a difference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional and respectful customer service to internal and external customers
  • Gain general knowledge to respond to customer questions at the lobby window
  • Complete accurate data entry of new applications for food, cash, and medical benefits
  • Issue electronic benefit cards (EBT) or perform EBT destruction as assigned
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, adhering to quick turnaround times, and executing accurate follow-up and follow-through

Essential Qualifications

  • Graduation from high school or possession of a GED, HiSET, or TASC Certificate
  • Three years of full-performance office support/clerical work (type and level of an Administrative Support Assistant III)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to read, write, and speak proficiently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven success in working with vulnerable, at-risk populations

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $22.01 - $33.02, with a target hiring range of $22.01 - $26.84. Our employees are eligible for a range of benefits, including:
