Job Summary As a Product Manager at Home Depot, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of product strategies that drive business growth, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance operational efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and stakeholders, to identify customer needs, develop product roadmaps, and prioritize product features. Your goal will be to create products that meet the evolving needs of our customers, while also driving business value and growth. Key Responsibilities • Strategy and Planning (40%): • Gaining a deep understanding of customer and stakeholder needs, both existing and potential, to inform product strategies. • Interpreting business objectives and end-client needs into product strategies. • Identifying goals, metrics, and analysis to determine product value. • Leading end-client research to identify customer stories and determine Minimum Viable Product (MVP). • Partnering with Finance to understand financial requirements and aid in the creation of business cases for new opportunities. • Monitoring research and the competitive landscape to recommend best solutions and ensure products remain top-tier. • Delivery and Execution (30%): • Ensuring products are aligned with company, partner, and end-client needs to drive sales, improve productivity, and enhance customer satisfaction. • Recording, reviewing, and guaranteeing that all quality and change control standards are met. • Testing and refining assumptions and hypotheses through customer research and testing. • Creating, prioritizing, and accepting customer stories. • Making product decisions that drive value consistently. • Individuals (30%): • Fostering collaboration with colleagues to drive value and resolve obstacles. • Advocating for modern software development practices. • Championing the end client and partner by understanding their needs. • Routinely working with the product team to review progress, share learnings, and understand next steps. • Managing cross-functional team and partner expectations to execute on product strategy. Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: • Essential Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. • 3+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in product management. • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities. • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams. • Preferred Qualifications: • Experience working in a modern software development environment. • Knowledge of agile methodologies, specifically extreme programming (XP) principles. • Experience with product development, testing, and deployment. • Familiarity with data analysis and metrics to measure product value.
