Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Home Infusion Biller to play a crucial role in our revenue cycle management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately assigning codes to infusion services, ensuring compliance with commercial and government payer and contract guidelines and regulations. Responsibilities

As a Home Infusion Biller at Workwarp, you will be responsible for:
  • Billing, Coding, Documentation:
    • Accurately assign HCPCS, ICD-10, CPT, codes to infusion therapy services based on payer contracts and medical documentation.
    • Collaborate with healthcare partners (both internally and externally) to clarify and obtain additional information when necessary.
    • Work claim rejections and denials.
    • Work AR aging reports.
  • Compliance and Regulations:
    • Stay current on billing and coding guidelines, regulations, and industry updates related to infusion therapy services.
    • Ensure billing and practices adhere to relevant healthcare compliance standards and guidelines.
    • Knowledge CMS, Medicaid, and Commercial Payer Guidelines specific to infusion therapies.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Conduct regular audits to assess the accuracy and completeness of billed data for infusion services.
    • Implement corrective actions and provide feedback to improve billing practices and documentation.
  • Education and Training:
    • Stay informed about advancements in infusion therapy and billing/coding methodologies.
    • Provide training and guidance to healthcare staff on billing/coding best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with healthcare partners, including pharmacists, nurses, and other billing staff, to ensure accurate billing of claims.
    • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss billing-related issues and improvements.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in home infusion medical billing/coding.
    • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical/infusion billing software.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes/billing practices.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compliance:
    • Knowledge of healthcare compliance standards and regulations.
  • Attention to Detail:
    • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in billing and code assignment.
  • Adaptability:
    • Ability to adapt to changes in billing and coding guidelines and industry standards.
