We believe that every child deserves access to excellent education, and we are proud to be part of a community that shares this vision. **Job Description** **Position at a Glance:** * **Compensation:** A competitive salary * **Location:** Remote * **Company:** Workwarp * **Start Date:** Immediate openings available * **Position:** Experienced Elementary Teacher - Grade 1 English Partner Spanish Immersion **Key Responsibilities:** As an English Partner for Spanish Immersion, you will be responsible for teaching two half-day sessions in Reading, Writing, and Social Studies. You will work closely with a Spanish Immersion partner teacher to create engaging and effective lesson plans that cater to the needs of second-language learners. Your key responsibilities will include: * Collaborating with the Spanish Immersion partner teacher to develop and implement lesson plans * Adapting lesson plans to meet the needs of second-language learners * Accommodating visitors to the classroom and ensuring a welcoming environment for all students * Meeting with parents from both classes for Parent/Teacher/Student conferences and workshops * Establishing and maintaining open communication with students, parents, staff, and administration * Being available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day, consistent with contract obligations * Assisting with other duties as assigned **Essential Qualifications:** To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: * Current DE teaching licenses - Elementary (K-6) * Proficient English speaker * Previous teaching experience preferred * Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and adapt to changing circumstances * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans * Commitment to providing high-quality education to students of all backgrounds and abilities **Preferred Qualifications:** While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable: * Experience teaching English as a second language * Familiarity with Spanish language and culture * Experience working with diverse student populations * Strong technology skills, including proficiency in educational software and online platforms * Ability to work independently and as part of a team **Skills and Competencies:** To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans * Strong organizational and time management skills * Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and adapt to changing circumstances * Commitment to providing high-quality education to students of all backgrounds and abilities * Strong technology skills, including proficiency in educational software and online platforms **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits:** As a member of our team, you will have access to a range of career growth opportunities and learning benefits, including: * Professional development opportunities, including training and workshops * Mentorship and coaching from experienced colleagues * Opportunities for advancement and career progression * Access to a range of educational resources and materials * Collaborative and supportive work environment **Work Environment and Company Culture:** We are proud to offer a collaborative and supportive work environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
