Our mission is to give every child a great start in life, and we invite you to join us on this journey. **Responsibilities** As an Experienced Assistant Teacher, your key responsibilities will include: * Assisting the Lead Teacher in providing and maintaining a safe, warm, and inviting classroom that is clean and organized. * Communicating daily with families regarding student progress or needs to encourage partnership and support. * Encouraging parent and community engagement by developing strong professional relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. * Maintaining a high-quality standard of care for every child by thoroughly adhering to all minimum licensing, quality rated, and/or accreditation guidelines and company standards. * Preparing and serving meals and snacks for children. * Utilizing and adhering to assigned classroom's daily schedule utilizing our science-based, proprietary curriculum and suggested supplement activities to create a fun and engaging learning environment with activities tailored to each child's developmental needs. * Assisting with keeping daily records including attendance, child portfolios, USDA documentation, and other records required by local agencies. * Contributing to your center's success by partnering with team members and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditations, and family engagement. **Essential Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you will need: * A high school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred. * At least 1-2 years of experience in a childcare or educational setting. * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move quickly in a fast-paced environment. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues, families, and children. * Strong organizational and time management skills. * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: * Early Childhood Education certification or degree. * Experience with proprietary curriculum and educational software. * Bilingual or multilingual skills. * Experience working with children with special needs. **Skills and Competencies** To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: * Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. * Ability to create a safe and engaging learning environment. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues, families, and children. * Strong organizational and time management skills. * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At Childcare Network, we are committed to providing our team members with opportunities for growth and development.
