As a key player in our Customer Service Division of Business Operations, the Data Entry Operator will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of our customer information systems and other software. Key Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Operator at blithequark, your primary focus will be on entering information with a high degree of speed and accuracy, inputting large amounts of data into our customer information system and other Public Works software. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing and maintaining utility accounts with precision and attention to detail.
  • Verifying account eligibility and accessibility to ensure compliance with our policies and procedures.
  • Preparing, distributing, and completing work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Preparing files for mass customer communications, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Assisting with mailing billing statements and other notices generated in-house, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Scanning or retaining documents in accordance with our record-keeping policies and procedures.
  • Performing monthly audits of incomplete account transfer requests to identify areas for improvement and optimize our processes.
  • Entering data into Key Performance Indicator tracking databases to support our business operations and strategic decision-making.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following essential qualifications:

  • Education and Experience: A High School Diploma or an acceptable equivalency diploma (GED), and two (2) years of experience as a high-volume data entry operator or typist.
  • Licenses or Certifications: None specified, although relevant certifications or training in data entry, business administration, or a related field may be an advantage.
  • Special Requirements: You must pass computer skills, typing and accuracy, and 10-key skills testing for consideration, demonstrating your ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Education and Experience: An Associate's degree in business administration, data entry, or a related field, and two (2) years of experience as a high-volume data entry operator or typist.
  • Special Requirements: As with the essential qualifications, you must pass computer skills, typing and accuracy, and 10-key skills testing for consideration, showcasing your technical skills and attention to detail.
