As a member of the Payments and Digital Strategy team at blithequark, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our credit union's daily transactions, including checking processing, object processing, direct bills, and budget transfers. Your expertise will be instrumental in resolving customer inquiries, processing transactions, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
**What You'll Do**
As an Experienced Customer Service Representative, your responsibilities will include:
* Completing statistical access and balancing features to ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions
* Coordinating return objects with contributors, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions to resolve any discrepancies or issues
* Assisting various departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and associated accounting standard ledger balancing to maintain the integrity of our financial systems
* Working member cases/assignments to provide prompt and effective resolution to customer concerns
* Following and maintaining guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines and Federal Banking laws
* Processing mortgage bills, multi-account and member deposits, credit card bills, and other exams, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff exams
* Reviewing, examining, and approving Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products to ensure accuracy and security
* Logging, studying, and making important GL, account changes and/or returns to maintain accurate financial records
* Processing Stop Pays and Check Batching to prevent unauthorized transactions and maintain customer trust
* Completing daily balancing and department closing to ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions
* Obtaining information from customers for the timely and correct processing of international and domestic budget transfer requests
* Researching and verifying incoming and outgoing budget transfer information to ensure accuracy and security
* Communicating with vendors to facilitate budget transfers and resolve any issues or discrepancies
* Understanding and being familiar with outgoing and incoming budget transfer laws and regulations to ensure compliance
* Depositing check returns, reviewing member re-exams on draft changes, processing member exams, affirming customers for outgoing budget transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing budget transfers
* Completing daily processing of workflows associated with overdue returns, supply of receipts, international collections, and legal fees to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions
**What You'll Need for Success**
To excel in this role, you'll need:
* A high school degree or GED
* Intermediate Excel and Word experience
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
* Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines under high-pressure situations
* Ability to maintain excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive customer information
* Ability to self-motivate and take initiative to resolve customer concerns
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and cross-train on other positions within the department
* Ability to interact professionally with all personnel and customers
* Must pass relevant blithequark and credit union pre-employment compliance exams
