Position Overview – What You’ll Do

Reporting to the Regional Training Manager, the Remote Regional Trainer is the instructional backbone of our Midwest region. You will design, deliver, and evaluate high‑impact training programs that align with federal, state, and client‑specific requirements while fostering a culture of safety, service excellence, and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Development: Create comprehensive training modules covering fire safety, emergency response, defensive tactics, CPR/AED, mobility device operation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Virtual & In‑Person Delivery: Conduct live virtual instructor‑led training (vILT), on‑site classroom sessions, and field demonstrations for security officers, supervisors, and managerial staff.
  • Compliance Management: Track and report training completions, ensuring 100% adherence to Allied Universal standards, contractual obligations, and all applicable laws.
  • Collaboration with Operations: Partner with Human Resource Coordinators, Branch Managers, and Safety Leads to tailor training to specific site needs and client expectations.
  • Performance Analytics: Use DOMO business intelligence tools to analyze academy metrics, identify gaps, and drive continuous improvement across the region.
  • Quarterly Site Visits: Conduct on‑site audits, address non‑compliance, deliver corrective training, and build strong relationships with client contacts.
  • Partnership Development: Vet and establish relationships with local training academies to supplement internal capabilities when necessary.
  • Special Projects: Lead ad‑hoc initiatives such as active shooter response drills, workplace violence prevention programs, and technology roll‑outs.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Produce weekly and monthly reports on training completions, upcoming vILT sessions, and compliance status for senior leadership.
  • Mentorship: Serve as a subject‑matter expert, coaching junior trainers and providing guidance on instructional best practices.

Essential Qualifications – What You Must Bring

  • Education: High school diploma or GED; additional post‑secondary education in Education, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, or related fields is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of classroom instruction experience, preferably within security, law‑enforcement, or fire‑service environments.
  • Licensing: Ability to obtain and maintain all required state/federal licenses; must achieve Pistol Instructor certification within 90 days if firearms instruction is required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and business intelligence platforms such as DOMO.
  • Communication: Exceptional oral and written skills; ability to craft clear manuals, engaging presentations, and professional correspondence.
  • Organizational Ability: Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple competing priorities, meet strict deadlines, and maintain meticulous documentation.
  • Travel Flexibility: Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout the Midwest region, including occasional extended hours to meet business objectives.

Preferred Qualifications – What Sets You Apart

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Security Management, Criminal Justice, or related discipline.
  • Experience in Regulated Security Solutions (RSS) or work with agencies such as the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Department of Energy, DoD, or DHS.
  • Professional certifications in security, safety, or training (e.g., Certified Protection Officer, Certified Safety Trainer).
  • Prior teaching experience in fire service, military, law‑enforcement, or security industry contexts.
  • Hands‑on experience with defensive tactics, use‑of‑force training, or firearms instruction.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and other relevant safety standards.
