Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high‑quality instruction in accordance with the assigned school’s curriculum, lesson plans, and standards, whether in elementary, middle, high school, or special education settings.

Essential Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree, or a minimum of 60 college credit hours in education or a related field.
  • Three professional references, at least one of which must be a former direct supervisor.
  • Successful completion of a background check (cost covered by Scoot).
  • Demonstrated passion for student success, with an empathetic, growth‑mindset approach.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Reliable internet connection and a suitable home workspace for virtual teaching and administrative tasks.

Preferred Qualifications & Desirable Experience

  • State teaching certification or endorsement (any K‑12 grade level).
  • Experience in special education, including IEP development and implementation.
  • Proficiency with educational technology platforms (Google Classroom, Canvas, Schoology, etc.).
  • Prior experience with remote or hybrid instruction.
