Our ASC team is built on a foundation of collaboration, innovative pedagogy, and a deep commitment to equity. As part of our ongoing effort to expand impact, we are seeking a dynamic, purpose‑driven professional to join us as the Assistant Director for Academic Enrichment & Learning. This role offers a unique blend of remote flexibility and on‑site engagement, allowing you to shape the future of academic support while working within a community that prizes intellectual curiosity, social responsibility, and personal growth.

  • Collaborate with the Associate Director to align tutoring services with institutional priorities, such as improving retention rates for first‑generation and low‑income students.

2. Academic Coaching & Learning‑Strategy Workshops (≈30% of time)

  • Provide individualized academic coaching to upper‑classmen, focusing on metacognitive strategies, time‑management, and self‑regulation skills.
  • Develop and facilitate campus‑wide workshops on topics such as evidence‑based study techniques, test anxiety reduction, and digital literacies.

  • Partner with the Program Coordinator to secure venues, technology, and promotional materials for each workshop series.
  • Maintain a repository of workshop materials, ensuring accessibility and alignment with inclusive pedagogy principles.

3. Cross‑Campus Collaboration & Representation (≈15% of time)

  • Serve as a liaison between the ASC and key campus partners—Undergraduate Dean’s Office, Office of Pluralism and Leadership, Athletics, Residential Life, and more—to co‑create integrated support initiatives.
  • Represent Dartmouth at professional associations (e.g., National Academic Advising Association) and conferences, sharing ASC successes and learning from peer institutions.
  • Expand the ASC’s digital footprint by curating content for the tutoring and academic strategy webpages, social media channels (Facebook, Instagram), and the weekly office blog.
  • Solicit and synthesize feedback from faculty, students, and staff to continuously refine program design.
