About the Role: Licensed Customer Care Advocate

In this critical role, you will be the primary point of contact for pet parents, helping them understand how to protect their furry companions with our insurance and non-insurance products. As a Licensed Customer Care Advocate, you will interact with customers and respond to inquiries via phone, email, text, chat, social media, and other communication channels. Your expertise and empathy will be essential in building and strengthening customer relationships, providing a complete and integrated response to their inquiries, and ensuring that their needs are met with compassion and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to pet parents, providing expert guidance on our insurance and non-insurance products to help them make informed decisions about their pets' health and well-being.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via multiple communication channels, including phone, email, text, chat, social media, and other platforms.
  • Build and strengthen customer relationships using effective communication, keen listening skills, and empathy.
  • Navigate multiple platforms to provide a complete and integrated response to customer inquiries, ensuring that their needs are met with compassion and professionalism.
  • Utilize productivity and task management tools like MS Office and G-Suite to manage workflows and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve customer complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, product knowledge, and company policies to provide accurate and informative responses to customer inquiries.

Requirements and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • An active Property & Casualty Producer license, which is a mandatory requirement for this position.
  • Prior experience in a customer service role, preferably in a high-volume call center or veterinary clinic, where you have developed strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to build and strengthen customer relationships using effective communication, keen listening skills, and empathy.
  • Strong experience navigating multiple platforms to provide a complete and integrated response to customer inquiries.
  • Proficiency with productivity and task management tools like MS Office and G-Suite, as well as in-depth familiarity with ticketing software (Zendesk, Kustomer, Gladly, etc.).
  • A roll-up-your-sleeves mentality and a proactive approach to problem-solving, with meticulous attention to detail and strong prioritization abilities to handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, a genuine passion for pets, and excitement to work in a start-up environment where innovation and creativity are valued.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the pet insurance industry or a related field, where you have developed a deep understanding of pet health and wellness.
  • Knowledge of veterinary medicine and pet health, which will enable you to provide informed and empathetic support to pet parents.
  • Certification in customer service or a related field, which demonstrates your commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, where you have developed strong self-motivation and discipline to manage your workload effectively.
