Job Overview
We are looking for a talented and experienced Licensed Customer Service Representative to work alongside our underwriters in our Customer Care Center. As the first point of contact for existing customers, you will provide exceptional customer service while maintaining our underwriting integrity. This role requires an active Property & Casualty or Personal Lines insurance license, prior experience in an insurance service role, a passion for client interaction, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Address client needs and concerns via phone and email, providing prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service
- Maintain and utilize a working understanding of underwriting compliance guidelines to ensure adherence to service standards
- Answer back-to-back inbound calls and make outbound calls as needed to establish customer relationships and follow up with customers
- Service existing customers with endorsements, payments, policy changes, and other requests, including those that require underwriting authority
- Cancel and non-renew policies according to procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Complete necessary documentation quickly and efficiently, meeting production goals and deadlines
- Conduct risk analysis and evaluate underwriting quality of applicants to match premium to underwriting risk
- Evaluate application factors and details to ensure accurate underwriting decisions
- Meet all production goals and complete new business applications for existing customers as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with an active Property & Casualty or Personal Lines insurance license in your state of residence
- Prior experience working in a customer-facing insurance service role, with a demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a positive customer and quality focus
- Proficiency in multi-tasking, follow-through, and follow-up, with an organized and detail-oriented approach to work
- Advanced computer skills and reliable high-speed internet, with the ability to work in a remote or hybrid environment
