Experienced Geometry Tutor – Virtual, Flexible, and REMOTE Opportunity for Fall 2023

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Geometry tutors to join our community of highly qualified Teacher-Tutors for Fall 2023. As a virtual tutor, you will have the opportunity to work with 8th-12th grade students across the country, providing personalized instruction and support in a flexible and remote setting. Our tutors are the backbone of our organization, and we are committed to providing them with the resources and support they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide virtual small group instruction to 8th-12th grade students in Geometry * Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners * Use a variety of teaching strategies to promote student understanding and engagement * Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment * Utilize technology, such as Google Classroom and Zoom, to deliver instruction and facilitate communication * Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve instruction * Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in teaching and learning

Essential Qualifications

* 3 years of Math and/or ELA lead teaching experience in a U.S., K-12, public, private, and/or charter school * U.S.-credentialed teacher (exceptions may be considered for retired teachers with recently lapsed credential and classroom experience) * Daytime availability (8am-4pm Eastern) * Experience teaching K-12 ELA and/or Math in the classroom * Experience teaching in an online environment * Working knowledge of Google Classroom and Zoom * Experience with remediation, intervention, or small group instruction * Active Teaching Credential * Experience using Microsoft Teams * SPED or ELL teaching experience * Dedication to advancing equity in schools * Experience teaching Spanish Language Arts

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience teaching in an online environment * Working knowledge of Google Classroom and Zoom * Experience with remediation, intervention, or small group instruction * Active Teaching Credential * Experience using Microsoft Teams * SPED or ELL teaching experience * Dedication to advancing equity in schools * Experience teaching Spanish Language Arts

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
