**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced nurse midwifery-women's health program and nursing advance practice/leadership/population health faculty member to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching clinical and didactic courses in their nursing expertise, developing and teaching introductory and core courses in the discipline, and contributing to the operation and advancement of the School of Nursing. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service, and will be able to contribute to our mission and vision.
**Responsibilities**
* Teach clinical and didactic courses in nurse midwifery and women's health, including introductory and core courses in the discipline
* Develop and teach courses in their area(s) of nursing specialization
* Work with clinical partners to identify preceptors and settings in the Women's Health Program and other advanced practice content areas
* Produce scholarship commensurate with the requirements for tenure
* Contribute to the operation and advancement of the School of Nursing
* Advise students and serve on committees
* Participate in the broader university and disciplinary communities
**Qualifications**
* Earned doctorate in nursing or related field and a B.S.N. or M.S.N.
* Unencumbered California RN license before employment
* Record of accomplishments in research, teaching, and academic or professional service, appropriate for appointment at the rank of a tenure-track assistant professor (less than five years teaching), associate professor (minimum five years teaching), or professor (minimum ten years teaching) in an accredited School or College of Nursing
* Commitment to excellence in teaching and learning (classroom, virtual, simulation, lab), and consistent with the nursing program's vision, mission and goals demonstrated during on-campus interview and presentation
* Eligibility for BRN approval is required if necessary for the area of content expertise
* Ability to work collegially with diverse faculty, staff, and students
* Commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population, including first-generation college students
* Clinical specialization and experience in an area of registered nursing or advanced practice nursing, e.g., in psych/mental health, medical surgical nursing, pediatrics, obstetrics/women's health, family practice, population/public health, leadership and/or informatics
* National certification as a Nurse Midwife is required, with a preference for national certification as both a Nurse Midwife and a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience in teaching and/or mentoring students from historically excluded marginalized communities in a higher education environment
* Experience integrating historically excluded marginalized communities into scholarly and creative activities
* Commitment to serving historically excluded marginalized communities in higher education
* Knowledge of barriers for students and faculty from marginalized communities in higher education
**What We Offer**
* Competitive salary range: $7,500 to $7,656 per month (Assistant Professor), $6,190 to $13,172 per month (Associate Professor), and $7,794 to $13,797 per month (Professor)
