Scholarship and Community Advisor

As the Scholarship and Community Advisor, you will lead efforts that make STEM learning more accessible to students from all walks of life. Your work will focus on connecting families, schools, and community partners with scholarship and grant opportunities that remove financial barriers and open pathways to learning. This role blends outreach, relationship-building, and strategic program development to ensure that every child—regardless of their financial circumstances—has the opportunity to thrive and explore their potential through access to our programs. Key Responsibilities 1. Scholarship Development & Outreach • Research, design, and promote scholarship opportunities that increase access to coding and robotics programs for students facing financial barriers. • Conduct outreach to families, schools, and community organizations to raise awareness of tuition assistance and scholarship programs. • Develop clear communication materials, application processes, and timelines to ensure equitable and transparent access. 2. Grant Research and Writing • Identify and apply for local, state, and national grants supporting STEM, education, and youth development. • Write persuasive and mission-aligned proposals to secure funding for scholarships and educational access. • Maintain strong relationships with grantors, foundations, and funding agencies to support sustainable funding streams. 3. Community and School Partnerships • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with schools, PTAs, and community partners. • Represent Little Learners Lab at school events, PTA meetings, and community gatherings to strengthen visibility and engagement. • Work with educators and parent organizations to align scholarship initiatives with the needs of students and families in diverse settings. 4. Donor and Sponsor Relations • Cultivate relationships with corporate sponsors, local businesses, and individual donors to secure financial support for scholarships and student initiatives. • Prepare donor communications, impact summaries, and recognition materials that highlight student success stories. 5. Tracking and Reporting • Develop and maintain systems to monitor scholarship applications, awards, donor contributions, and grant statuses. • Produce regular reports summarizing outreach activities, funding progress, and community engagement. • Analyze data to assess program reach and effectiveness, and recommend improvements for continued growth and impact. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field (Master’s preferred). • 2+ years of experience in scholarship administration, community outreach, or grant writing. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences. • Excellent writing, organizational, and data management skills. • Passion for educational access and removing financial barriers to learning opportunities.
