Core Responsibilities – What You’ll Own Every Day

Your day‑to‑day activities will revolve around two inter‑linked pillars: membership administration and events coordination. While the role is rooted in strong administrative fundamentals, you will also have the freedom to innovate, propose new engagement ideas, and support the broader business development agenda.

  • Membership Management
    • Maintain and update the membership database, ensuring data accuracy, timely renewals, and GDPR compliance.
    • Respond to member inquiries via email, phone, and virtual chat, delivering a consistently high standard of service.
    • Support the creation and distribution of membership newsletters, promotional material, and renewal reminders.
    • Analyse membership trends, prepare monthly reports, and highlight opportunities for growth.
  • Event Coordination & Support
    • Assist in planning, scheduling, and logistics for a diverse portfolio of events ranging from large‑scale conferences to intimate workshops.
    • Manage event registration platforms, monitor attendee numbers, and coordinate communication before, during, and after events.
    • Collaborate with external vendors, venues, and speakers to secure contracts, catering, AV equipment, and travel arrangements.

Essential Qualifications – The Minimum We Need

  • Eligibility for a UK Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship (must be a UK resident or have the right to work in the UK).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey information clearly and courteously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with cloud‑based collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, Google Workspace).
  • Basic understanding of CRM systems or membership databases (experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar is a plus).
  • Demonstrated organisational ability, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Reliable internet connection and a dedicated home workspace suitable for remote work.
