As we continue to expand our digital footprint, we are looking for enthusiastic, customer‑centric professionals to help us deliver exceptional loan experiences in a fully remote, omni‑channel environment.

Position Overview

The Remote MSC Lending Advisor I/II serves as both a sales champion and a service ambassador, guiding members through the entire lifecycle of consumer loan products. From the initial inquiry to loan approval and post‑closing support, you will build lasting relationships, meet ambitious sales targets, and ensure each member receives clear, honest, and personalized financial advice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Member Engagement: Answer inbound calls and digital inquiries from members seeking loan information, providing prompt, courteous, and accurate responses.
  • Trusted Advisory Role: Act as a fiduciary‑focused lending advisor, maintaining integrity and transparency in every interaction and recommendation.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong, long‑term relationships through an omni‑channel approach (phone, email, chat, and video), always prioritizing the member’s best financial interests.
  • Qualification & Needs Analysis: Assess member eligibility, financial situation, and loan objectives to match them with the most appropriate Apple Federal Credit Union products.
  • Sales Execution: Drive loan approvals and closures, achieving daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
  • Loan Processing: Conduct end‑to‑end loan documentation—including interviewing applicants, pulling credit reports, completing loan applications, and entering data accurately into our loan management system.
  • Clear Communication: Explain loan terms, conditions, and required documentation in plain language, ensuring members fully understand their obligations and benefits.
  • Follow‑Up & Service: Perform post‑application follow‑ups, handle loan servicing questions, and guide members through the loan approval or denial process.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with underwriting, collections, and member service teams to resolve complex queries and provide holistic solutions.
  • Data & Reporting: Generate analytical reports in Microsoft Excel that summarize lead generation, conversion rates, and performance metrics for management review.
  • Continuous Learning: Attend mandatory training sessions, product refreshers, and professional development workshops to stay current on industry trends and regulatory changes.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years experience in a financial institution, call center, or a related customer‑service environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in loan processing, member service, or sales—preferably within a credit union or bank.
  • High School diploma or GED required; an Associate’s degree or higher is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to build rapport quickly and maintain professionalism under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications & Nice‑to‑Haves

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a financial services setting.

  • Familiarity with loan underwriting criteria, credit analysis, and regulatory compliance (e.g., TILA, ECOA).
  • Experience using CRM platforms and loan origination software.
  • Certifications such as NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System) or similar financial licensing.

Core Skills and Competencies

  • Customer‑Centric Mindset: Passion for delivering exceptional member experiences and a genuine desire to help members achieve financial success.
  • Analytical Acumen: Ability to interpret credit reports, assess risk, and make sound, data‑driven decisions.
  • Sales Drive: Self‑motivation to achieve and exceed lending targets while maintaining ethical standards.
  • Effective Communication: Clearly articulate complex financial concepts in an understandable manner.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a fully remote environment, managing time efficiently and staying organized.
