Core Responsibilities – What Your Day Looks Like

As a Remote ABA/Autism Therapist, you will deliver personalized, data‑rich therapy directly in the homes of children aged 2 – 18 years. Your daily activities will blend clinical rigor with the warmth of a trusted mentor.

  • Provide one‑on‑one (1:1) in‑home ABA therapy sessions, adhering to individualized treatment plans created by a supervising BCBA.

  • Implement discrete trial teaching, natural environment teaching, and behavior support strategies, adapting methods to each child’s learning style.

Essential Qualifications – What You Bring to the Table

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in psychology, special education, or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year in a 1:1 setting working with children on the autism spectrum, either through direct ABA service delivery, special education support, paraprofessional work, or comparable roles.
  • Certification: Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to obtain RBT within the first 90 days of employment (Key Autism provides tuition assistance and exam fee reimbursement).
  • Transportation: Reliable personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and personal auto insurance to travel safely between client homes.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, squat, kneel, and move quickly within a 100‑foot radius to respond to child behaviors.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to document data accurately and convey complex concepts to families in plain language.
