About the Role: Senior Math Instructor/Sr Tutor

This is a fully remote role, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere, although the position is based in Redmond, WA. As a Senior Math Instructor/Sr Tutor with Mathnasium, you will be part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to providing high-quality math instruction to students. Your primary responsibilities will include teaching and tutoring students in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery methods, utilizing the Mathnasium Method and our proprietary teaching practices. You will work collaboratively with other team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting, ensuring that each student receives the support they need to succeed in math.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach and tutor students using the Mathnasium Method, focusing on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment that fosters a love for math.
• Assess students' learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions, providing feedback and adjusting instruction as needed to ensure each student meets their learning goals.
• Become proficient in the use of digital educational materials and processes, staying up-to-date with the latest tools and methodologies in math education.
• Support the maintenance of a safe, professional, and respectful learning environment, adhering to Mathnasium's high standards of instructional quality and student care.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong passion for math and a proven ability to work effectively with students of various ages and skill levels. Excellent interpersonal skills, eagerness to learn and be trained, and the ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously are essential. You should be able to teach math concepts through at least pre-calculus, with a preference for candidates who can teach calculus I or higher.

Essential Qualifications:

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Education, Mathematics, or a math-heavy degree.
• At least 3 years of experience in a tutoring or teaching role, with experience mentoring or training junior team members being highly valued.
• Ability to demonstrate math proficiency, which will be assessed through a math literacy test as part of the application process.
• Work authorization and the ability to pass a background check are required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with the Mathnasium Method or similar teaching methodologies is advantageous but not required.
