About the Role: Operations Manager and Coach Trainee

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager and Coach Trainee to join our dynamic team in Brunswick. This role is a unique opportunity for someone who is passionate about leadership, customer satisfaction, and business excellence to make a tangible difference. As an Operations Manager and Coach Trainee, you will be responsible for leading and developing high-performing teams, driving financial performance and sales growth, and ensuring exceptional customer service standards across our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, providing feedback, and communicating business objectives clearly.
  • Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards, following the One Best Way (OBW) service model, and ensure customer needs are successfully resolved.
  • Drive financial performance and sales growth by reviewing P&L statements, managing budgets, forecasting expenses, and implementing action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, and ensuring diversity and inclusion awareness.
  • Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments, developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and supporting plans to meet customer and business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, supporting the company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • 2 years of college; OR 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience; OR 2 years' general work experience and 1 year's supervisory experience.
  • For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training may be required.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
