Key Responsibilities

The Senior Project Manager will play a pivotal role in the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating internal and external resources to ensure the smooth execution of projects.
  • Ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Aiding in the definition of project scope and objectives, including all stakeholders to ensure feasibility.
  • Ensuring resource availability and allocation by working with the Project Coordinator and all stakeholders.
  • Developing a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
  • Managing changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate processes and documentation.
  • Handling the relationship with the client and all stakeholders, as well as third-party vendors.
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation (RFI logs, meeting minutes, etc.).
  • Meeting with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.
  • Developing comprehensive project plans to be communicated to clients as well as other staff members.
  • Creating spreadsheets, schedules, and process guides to document requirements.
  • Completing tasks as soon as possible without compromising quality and attention to detail.
  • Providing recommendations for improvements that could increase production, streamline processes, and lower costs.
  • Adhering to and enforcing safety best practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 3+ years of experience in the manufacturing or construction field (similar trade experience may be considered).
  • 3+ years of experience in managing and ensuring safety on job sites.
  • Experience in managing and coordinating subcontractors.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • A proven track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Extensive knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Good instincts and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S.
  • General knowledge of construction and manufacturing activities.
  • Ability to perform basic math and measure area and calculate weight.
  • Experience with project management tools and software.
