About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Team Manager who will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence at all times. The main responsibility of this role is to consistently work towards increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of our Floor Operations team's performance, maintaining quality service by enforcing performance standards, resolving quality/service problems, identifying trends, and recommending system improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing supervisors or first-time managers, with the courage to lead and hold others accountable. Experience in optimizing studio operations using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies is also essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze employee data and performance to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance team performance.
  • Manage employee expectations and requests, ensuring that all team members are aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Work with internal systems such as JIRA, TTS, WIKI, Evo Desk, NEVOS, and other tools to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  • Partner with Human Resources to ensure appropriate team member accountability and disciplinary responses, maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
  • Conduct routine floor walks within the studio to monitor operations, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Establish and maintain a culture of performance excellence within the studio, setting high standards and expectations for all team members.
  • Identify necessary adjustments and/or improvements to meet globally set KPIs and OKRs, ensuring that the team is always striving for excellence.
  • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, developing, and supervising subordinates, ensuring that all team members have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Plan, monitor, appraise, and review job contributions of subordinates, providing regular feedback and coaching to support their growth and development.
  • Ensure continuous and properly organized communication flow within the team, subordinates, and with other departments, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of subordinate's performance through improvements of Operations functions within the department or by initiating cross-departmental improvements.
  • Maintain quality service by enforcing quality and service standards, analyzing and resolving quality and service problems, identifying trends, and recommending system improvements.
  • Develop and maintain internal documentation (manuals, procedures, regulations, etc.) for subordinates, ensuring compliance with general company policies and supporting business needs.
  • Support efficient workload distribution for subordinates, ensuring compliance with labor law and business needs, and forecasting and tracking operation-related costs to achieve accuracy of spending and compliance with the budget.
  • Presents regular reports to clients and/or management and peers on progress and forecast of team's KPIs, escalating issues, and evaluating needed support.
  • Perform other duties as asked by the direct manager, which are related to this position and meet the qualifications.
  • Replace colleagues during their vacations, sick leaves, and other absences, ensuring continuity and stability within the team.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will need to have:

  • A high school diploma or GED, with a bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience managing supervisors or first-time managers, with managerial courage to lead and hold others accountable.
  • 2+ years of experience and ability to optimize studio operations applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience managing 100+ employees, with a significant volume of entry-level employees.
  • A proven track record of significant quality improvements and optimizations in the related industry.
  • Good knowledge and ability to address complicated client complaints and requests.
  • Financial basic knowledge and budgeting experience.
  • Technical proficiency in computer programs, especially Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in developing standards and procedures, with a prompt and organized approach.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and results-driven attitude.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, with a collaborative work style and willingness to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience working in the online gaming industry or a related field.
  • Knowledge of gaming regulations and laws, with experience in ensuring compliance.
  • Experience with project management tools and software, such as Asana, Trello, or Basecamp.
  • Certification in Lean or Six Sigma, with experience in process improvement and optimization.
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to interpret and present complex data insights.
