Remote, USA Full-time Posted 2025-11-03

Introduction to Our Company and Industry

In the ever-evolving landscape of mental health care, the demand for compassionate, skilled, and dedicated professionals has never been more pressing. Our company, at the forefront of innovative care models, is committed to providing accessible, high-quality mental health services to adolescents. We believe in the importance of early intervention and the profound impact that supportive relationships can have on the well-being and development of young individuals. As part of our mission to bridge the gap in mental health care, we are seeking an experienced and mission-driven Online Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, therapists, and school health professionals.

About the Role

This is a full-time, 100% remote position, offering the flexibility and autonomy to work from the comfort of your own space. As an Online Therapist with our team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering excellent care to middle and high school students, providing mental health assessments, and short-term teletherapy sessions. Your expertise and passion for working with youth will be invaluable in helping students navigate challenges, build resilience, and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Comprehensive Care: Conduct mental health assessments and deliver short-term teletherapy to students, typically spanning 2-4 months per student, with possible extensions up to 6 months.
  • Collaborative Approach: Participate in case discussions with other team members to ensure a holistic approach to care, sharing insights and best practices to enhance student outcomes.
  • Support Transition and Community Engagement: Facilitate smooth transitions for students and families to community mental health and primary care providers, fostering ongoing support networks.
  • Build Lasting Relationships: Develop and maintain collaborative, trusted relationships with school leadership, staff, students, and families. Regular meetings with school staff will be crucial in discussing student mental health needs and strategizing to improve school services.

Requirements for Success

To excel in this role, you will need to possess a combination of educational background, licensure, experience, and personal qualities that align with our company's mission and values.

Essential Qualifications

  • Licensure: You must be licensed in Massachusetts (LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT) to practice as a therapist.
  • Experience with Youth: Previous experience working with adolescents or teens is essential, demonstrating your understanding of their unique challenges and needs.
  • Evidence-Based Practices: Familiarity and experience with evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, MI, and ACT are required, ensuring that your practice is grounded in proven therapeutic approaches.
  • Availability: You must be available to work afternoons and evenings to accommodate the schedules of students and families.
  • Telehealth Experience: Prior experience providing telehealth therapy is necessary, as you will be working remotely and utilizing digital platforms for sessions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Degrees: While not required, holding an advanced degree in a relevant field can be beneficial, indicating a deeper level of academic preparation and expertise.
  • Specialized Training: Additional training or certifications in areas such as trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, or specific therapeutic modalities can enhance your application.
  • Bilingual or Multilingual: The ability to communicate fluently in more than one language can be an asset, allowing you to serve a more diverse population of students and families.

Skills and Competencies

Beyond the technical skills and knowledge required for the role, we are looking for individuals who possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a strong commitment to cultural competence and diversity. Your empathy, patience, and ability to build rapport with adolescents, as well as your capacity for continuous learning and professional growth, will be essential in this position.

Career Growth and Learning Opportunities

At our company, we believe in investing in our team members, providing opportunities for professional development, and supporting career advancement. As an Online Therapist, you will have access to training, workshops, and conferences that can enhance your skills and keep you updated on the latest practices in mental health care. Our collaborative and supportive work environment encourages feedback, innovation, and the sharing of best practices, ensuring that you continue to grow both personally and professionally.

Work Environment and Company Culture

We pride ourselves on fostering a positive, inclusive work environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our team is composed of mission-driven individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of adolescents. By joining our team, you become part of a community that prioritizes well-being, recognizes the importance of work-life balance, and celebrates the achievements of its members.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package that reflects our commitment to attracting and retaining top talent. The role comes with a salary range of $70,000 to $80,000 per year, excellent health insurance, paid time off, and an ownership stake in the company. Additionally, you will benefit from administrative support provided by our experienced Care Coordinators, allowing you to focus on what matters most – delivering high-quality care to our students.
