Why Join Our Cutting‑Edge Telehealth Team?

Kona Medical Consulting partners with a national leader in personalized hormone and peptide therapy to bring high‑quality, patient‑first care to individuals across the United States—all from the comfort of your own home office. As the demand for remote, evidence‑based endocrine and wellness services soars, our client is expanding rapidly, and we need experienced physicians who are passionate about optimizing health outcomes through bioidentical hormone replacement and advanced peptide protocols.

Our client’s mission is simple yet profound: empower patients to achieve their optimal health by delivering individualized, science‑driven treatment plans that are convenient, compassionate, and clinically rigorous. By joining this dynamic team, you will become a critical voice in a growing telemedicine ecosystem, collaborating with skilled care coordinators, cutting‑edge technology platforms, and a patient community that values personalized wellness.

Position Overview – Telemedicine Physician (Remote)

We are seeking board‑certified physicians with primary care or OB‑GYN expertise who can dedicate 10–15 hours per week to provide virtual consultations, interpret laboratory data, and prescribe tailored hormone and peptide regimens. This contract role offers a competitive hourly rate of $125–$150, flexible scheduling, and the autonomy to practice medicine without the constraints of a traditional clinic setting.

As a Remote Telehealth Physician, you will lead the clinical journey from initial assessment through ongoing management, ensuring each patient receives a safe, effective, and personalized care plan that aligns with the latest guidelines in hormone health.

Core Responsibilities

  • Virtual Consultations: Conduct thorough initial and annual patient assessments via a secure, HIPAA‑compliant video platform (Zoom, Cisco Webex, or equivalent), capturing detailed histories, symptom reviews, and lifestyle factors.
  • Lab Interpretation & Treatment Planning: Review and analyze comprehensive laboratory panels (including hormone panels, metabolic panels, and peptide biomarkers); collaborate with patients and the multidisciplinary care team to design individualized therapy protocols.
  • Prescription Management: Write and manage prescriptions for bioidentical hormone therapies (estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, thyroid) and FDA‑approved peptide treatments, adhering to all state and federal prescribing regulations.
  • Patient Education: Provide clear, empathetic education on medication dosing, administration methods (e.g., subcutaneous injections, transdermal applications), potential side effects, and lifestyle modifications to maximize therapeutic outcomes.
  • Documentation & EHR Proficiency: Accurately document all encounters, treatment plans, and follow‑up actions in the proprietary electronic health record system, ensuring compliance with documentation standards and audit readiness.
  • Collaboration with Care Coordinators: Work closely with dedicated patient care coordinators, nurses, and operations staff to streamline scheduling, insurance verification, medication fulfillment, and post‑visit follow‑up.
  • Quality Assurance & Safety: Monitor patient response, adjust dosages as needed, and participate in regular case reviews to maintain the highest standards of safety and efficacy.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current with emerging research in endocrinology, peptide therapy, and telemedicine best practices; attend virtual trainings and webinars offered by the organization.

Essential Qualifications

  • Medical Licensure: Active, unrestricted medical license in at least one of the following states: California, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, or Nevada.
  • Board Certification: Board‑certified in Primary Care (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine) or Obstetrics & Gynecology.
  • Clinical Experience: Demonstrated experience in managing hormone health, including bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), and familiarity with peptide therapeutics.
  • DEA Authorization: Unrestricted DEA license allowing prescription of controlled substances where applicable.
  • Telehealth Proficiency: Minimum of 10–15 hours per week available for virtual consultations; comfortable using video platforms, secure messaging, and remote monitoring tools.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to navigate Windows‑based operating systems, G‑Suite applications, and EHR systems with minimal onboarding time.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a patient‑centric approach that fosters trust and adherence.
  • Self‑Management: Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fully remote environment.
  • Immediate Availability: Ready to begin providing services as soon as possible.

Preferred (But Not Mandatory) Qualifications

  • Prior experience delivering telemedicine services in a direct‑to‑consumer or concierge health model.
  • Additional certifications or training in endocrinology, anti‑aging medicine, or integrative health.
  • Familiarity with advanced peptide protocols (e.g., BPC‑157, CJC‑1295, Tesamorelin) and their clinical applications.
  • Experience with data analytics to track patient outcomes and inform practice improvements.
  • Participation in professional societies related to hormone health, such as the American Academy of Anti‑Aging Medicine (A4M) or the Endocrine Society.

Key Skills & Competencies for Success

  • Clinical Judgment: Ability to synthesize complex lab data with patient history to create nuanced, individualized treatment plans.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of FDA regulations, state prescribing laws, and telemedicine compliance standards.
  • Empathy & Rapport Building: Skilled at building therapeutic relationships in a virtual setting, ensuring patients feel heard and supported.
  • Technology Adaptability: Quick learner of new software platforms, with a focus on maintaining data security and privacy.
  • Time Management: Efficient scheduling and documentation practices to maximize patient throughput while preserving quality of care.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Willingness to engage in multidisciplinary case discussions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Work Environment & Culture

Our client cultivates a forward‑thinking, inclusive, and supportive remote culture. Physicians enjoy:

  • Flexible scheduling that respects personal commitments and promotes work‑life balance.
  • A collaborative virtual community where clinicians share insights, case studies, and best practices.

  • Regular virtual team‑building events, wellness webinars, and professional development resources.

Because the work is entirely remote, you will have the freedom to create a home office that reflects your personal productivity style—whether that’s a quiet study, a co‑working space, or a sunlit kitchen table.

Compensation, Perks & Benefits

Compensation is competitive and directly tied to the expertise you bring to the role:

  • Hourly rate ranging from $125 to $150 based on experience and state licensing.
  • Performance‑based bonuses for meeting patient satisfaction and outcome metrics.
  • Reimbursement for a home office setup (ergonomic chair, webcam, headset).
  • Continuing Medical Education (CME) stipend to support ongoing learning in hormone and peptide therapy.
  • Access to a proprietary EHR and telehealth platform that streamlines workflow.
  • Professional liability (malpractice) insurance coverage provided by the organization.
  • Opportunity to earn additional income through teaching webinars or authoring patient education materials.

Career Growth & Development Opportunities

Joining this telehealth practice opens a pathway to numerous future roles:

  • Clinical Leadership: Potential to advance into Medical Director or Clinical Operations Manager positions overseeing a larger network of remote providers.
  • Program Development: Lead the creation of new therapeutic protocols, specialty clinics (e.g., menopause, male health, regenerative peptide programs), and research initiatives.
  • Thought Leadership: Publish articles, host virtual conferences, and become a recognized expert in the hot‑growing field of personalized hormone health.
  • Mentorship: Guide newer physicians entering telemedicine, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and excellence.

Our client invests heavily in your professional growth, offering quarterly training sessions, access to a library of clinical resources, and mentorship from seasoned endocrinology specialists.
