We are searching for a visionary and hands‑on leader who can shape large‑scale, multi‑team programs that directly impact revenue growth, advertiser satisfaction, and the overall shopper experience. Position Overview
Title: Principal Technical Program Manager, ADSP Demand Channels (Remote)
Location: Work from home (any U.S. location)
Start Date: Immediate openings available
Compensation: Competitive salary, equity, and full Amazon benefits package
In this senior‑level role you will own the strategy, design, delivery, and continuous improvement of Amazon Advertising’s Demand‑Side Platform (ADSP) services. You will partner with senior business leaders, engineering teams, product managers, and external partners to define and execute programs that enable advertisers to reach customers on desktops, mobile, and connected TV devices at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer‑Centric Program Leadership: Deeply understand advertiser and shopper needs, translate them into clear program goals, and ensure that every feature released delivers measurable business value.
- Strategic Roadmap Development: Own the multi‑year roadmap for ADSP Demand Channels, balancing short‑term market demands with long‑term architectural vision and scalability requirements.
- Cross‑Functional Coordination: Drive alignment across engineering, product, data science, legal, finance, and go‑to‑market teams; facilitate regular sync meetings, status reviews, and executive briefings.
- Technical Design Oversight: Review and influence system‑level designs, ensuring reliability, performance, and cost‑effectiveness while adhering to Amazon’s architecture principles.
- Risk & Escalation Management: Anticipate bottlenecks, proactively mitigate risks, and act as the escalation point for critical issues that could impact launch timelines or service health.
- Metrics & Data‑Driven Decision Making: Define success metrics, build dashboards, and use data to continuously improve program velocity, quality, and ROI.
- Process Improvement: Champion sustainable, repeatable processes for release planning, post‑mortems, and continuous delivery; embed best practices from Agile, SAFe, and Amazon’s “Working Backwards” methodology.
- Stakeholder Communication: Produce clear, concise communications—ranging from executive presentations to detailed technical specifications—tailored to diverse audiences.
- Thought Leadership & Evangelism: Represent the ADSP platform internally and externally, speaking at internal forums, industry conferences, and partner meetings to showcase Amazon’s advertising capabilities.
A Day in the Life
Every day is a blend of strategic thinking and tactical execution. You might start by reviewing the latest advertiser performance dashboards, identifying emerging trends, and then meeting with senior product managers to prioritize upcoming features. Mid‑day could involve a deep‑dive design review with engineering leads, where you challenge assumptions about latency, scaling, and fault tolerance. You’ll spend time crafting a concise update for the senior leadership team, then later in the afternoon, you might facilitate an alignment workshop with finance, legal, and compliance to ensure upcoming releases meet all regulatory requirements. Throughout the day you’ll be the go‑to person for resolving cross‑team dependencies and keeping the program on track.
