Join us and be part of a team that is shaping the future of travel, one data‑driven insight at a time.

Why This Role Matters – The Product Manager, Payment Gateway

Our Payment Gateway product is at the heart of ARC’s revenue ecosystem. It powers secure, high‑volume transactions for B2B airline partners, travel agencies, and fintech innovators. As the Product Manager, you will own the vision, strategy, and execution of this critical platform, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of our customers while aligning with ARC’s broader business objectives.

This is a fully remote position, open to candidates based in the United States (specifically Texas) who thrive in an agile, data‑centric, and fast‑moving environment. You will partner with cross‑functional teams—including engineering, design, sales, marketing, compliance, and customer support—to deliver products that drive revenue growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and maintain the highest standards of security and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Do Every Day

  • Strategic Roadmapping: Define and continuously refine the product vision, strategy, and multi‑year roadmap for the Payment Gateway, translating market insights, regulatory changes, and customer feedback into prioritized features.
  • Agile Delivery Management: Lead the product team through iterative sprint cycles, crafting detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and release plans that keep delivery on time, on scope, and on budget.
  • Financial Stewardship: Own the product P&L, set financial targets, monitor cost structures, and make data‑driven decisions to achieve or exceed revenue and profitability goals.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner seamlessly with Marketing, Sales, Legal, Compliance, and Engineering to align product launches with go‑to‑market strategies, ensuring consistent messaging and seamless customer experiences.
  • Customer Advocacy: Conduct regular discovery sessions with key enterprise clients, translate their pain points into actionable product requirements, and maintain a continuous feedback loop throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Risk & Compliance Management: Work closely with security and compliance teams to embed PCI‑DSS, PA‑DSS, 3‑Domain Secure (3DS), tokenization, and other regulatory requirements into the product design and release process.
  • Performance Analytics: Define success metrics (e.g., transaction volume, success rate, latency, churn, NPS) and use analytics dashboards to monitor product health, identify opportunities, and drive iterative improvements.
  • Vendor & Partner Coordination: Manage relationships with external API providers, fintech partners, and technology vendors, negotiating contracts, overseeing integration roadmaps, and ensuring SLAs are met.
  • Documentation & Training: Oversee the creation of comprehensive product documentation, release notes, training materials, and knowledge‑transfer sessions for internal teams and external customers.
  • Thought Leadership: Represent ARC at industry conferences, webinars, and forums, sharing insights about payment innovation, API strategies, and travel commerce trends.

Essential Qualifications – What We Require

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years focusing on payment platforms, API enablement, or fintech solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the full product lifecycle—from concept and strategy through development, launch, and post‑launch optimization—in an agile environment.
  • Strong knowledge of card brand rules, interchange qualifications, and regulatory frameworks such as PCI‑DSS, PA‑DSS, and 3‑Domain Secure (3DS).
  • Hands‑on experience with payment APIs, tokenization, wallet integrations, and B2B corporate payment flows.
  • Proven track record of owning product P&L, setting financial targets, and delivering measurable revenue growth.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets, generate insights, and make data‑driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing senior leadership, cross‑functional teams, and external partners.
  • Detail‑oriented mindset with strong documentation, facilitation, and presentation capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while fostering collaboration across geographically dispersed teams.

Preferred Qualifications – Nice‑to‑Have Extras

  • Experience working within travel‑related technology or airline‑focused payment solutions.
  • Background in business intelligence platforms, data analytics, or cloud‑native architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Exposure to modern API management tools (Apigee, Kong, MuleSoft) and developer portal strategies.
  • History of building and scaling SaaS or platform products that serve enterprise customers.
  • Advanced certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), PMI‑ACP, or relevant payment industry credentials.
  • Familiarity with micro‑services, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
