About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Montana Licensed Remote Counsel Attorney to join our team as a remote of-counsel attorney. This is an exceptional opportunity for a licensed attorney in Montana to work with a reputable national law firm, assisting consumer clients enrolled in debt resolution programs and handling debt collection lawsuits. Key Responsibilities
- Review new client files as assigned, and conduct initial client consultation and onboarding calls via video conference to ensure a smooth and personalized experience for our clients.
- Conduct client file reviews and telephonic meetings with retained clients on a quarterly and annual basis to monitor their progress and provide ongoing support.
- Conduct exit interviews with clients who leave the program to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
- Adhere to strict timeliness requirements concerning assigned tasks, file review, and client consultations to ensure that our clients receive prompt and efficient service.
- Be available outside of standard business hours to accommodate client schedules and provide flexible support.
- Continually monitor our electronic dashboard for new assignments, including client intake, file reviews, and settlement reviews, and complete them promptly per the time requirements.
- Adhere to the Firm's client intake script and talking points concerning frequently asked questions to ensure consistency and quality in our client interactions.
- Engage in issue spotting, such as understanding when a client's debts do not comply with Firm underwriting policy, or when a client's debts may be impacted by the statute of limitations or right of offset issues.
- Participate in regular meetings with other attorneys to discuss recent trends, specific creditor issues, and any other relevant topics to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
- Assist with client escalations and client requests as needed in a timely and professional manner to ensure that our clients receive the highest level of service and support.
Essential Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate in good standing with the Montana state bar is a must, as you will be working with clients in Montana and must be licensed to practice law in the state.
- Proficiency using video conferencing software, such as Zoom or Skype, to conduct virtual meetings and client consultations.
- Proficiency in customer relations, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with our clients and provide personalized support.

- Experience in debt collection lawsuits and debt resolution programs, with a strong understanding of the relevant laws and regulations.
- Previous experience working as a solo practitioner or part-time attorney, with a proven track record of managing your own workload and schedule.
