Job Summary

As a Remote Customer Service Representative, you will play a vital role in our call center, responding to customer inquiries via telephone and providing problem resolution in accordance with our organization's service standards. You will be responsible for receiving and placing telephone calls, answering customer questions, resolving issues, and directing customers to technical or service areas when necessary. Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries via telephone, providing problem resolution and support in a professional and courteous manner
  • Receive and place telephone calls, utilizing a computerized data entry system or other relevant applications to resolve customer issues
  • Maintain detailed and current knowledge of our company's products and services, as well as those of our assigned clients
  • Analyze customer service needs and communicate with service and technical departments to ensure seamless resolution of customer issues
  • Enter required data into client-provided systems and databases, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Resolve basic payment and account-related requests, including card activations, payments, and name and address updates for cardholders
  • Provide standardized or scripted responses to customer inquiries, utilizing basic user-friendly Graphic User Interface (GUI) screens and established documentation and processes
  • Determine basic reasons for customer issues using a client-provided decision tree and escalate or refer unresolved customer grievances and requests to more experienced Customer Service Representatives or designated departments
  • Work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends, to ensure 24/7 coverage of our call center
  • Be available to work all shifts, including nights and weekends, and be flexible with your schedule as needed
  • Be on camera during work hours, maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor at all times

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 6 months minimum call center experience, either remote or onsite
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and colleagues
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to navigate a computerized data entry system or other relevant applications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and managing time effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze customer issues and provide effective solutions

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset:

  • Previous experience working in a remote call center environment
  • Knowledge of customer service software and technology, including CRM systems and helpdesk tools
