Job Overview: Remote Data Analyst / Entry Level

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Data Analyst to join our team. As a Remote Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in maintaining provider demographic data within our organization's database environment. Your primary responsibilities will include analyzing, researching, and inputting relevant data for providers, coordinating communication with designated provider groups, and creating electronic provider rosters. Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, research, and input relevant data for providers added to our network through individual contracts, facility/ancillary contracts, and/or newly acquired group contracts.
  • Maintain changes to current provider files, including provider terminations, and update provider records such as practitioner, facility, ancillary, and group records.
  • Obtain missing data and update provider profiles specific to provider directory and/or client data extracts.
  • Research and respond to ad-hoc requests from internal and external customers, and fully update provider profiles as appropriate.
  • Utilize our organization's technologies to build provider group rosters for use within our database environment.
  • Participate in routine reviews of department processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement and provide feedback to management.
  • Liaise with internal and external partners to solicit demographic data and resolve inaccuracies as necessary.
  • Foster an environment that encourages open communication, knowledge sharing, and process improvement opportunities.
  • Identify issues that require additional investigation and evaluation, validate discrepancies, and ensure appropriate follow-up.
  • Complete data validation processes to ensure accuracy prior to entry, and verify, research, and respond to telephone and written inquiries from providers and other departments.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • 0-2 years of experience in data analysis or a related field, with a strong foundation in data management and analysis principles.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a high-volume data entry environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with database management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results and meeting deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a healthcare or insurance environment, with knowledge of provider data management and analysis.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and requirements, and experience working in a compliant environment.
  • Strong technical skills, including experience with data visualization tools, programming languages, and statistical analysis software.
  • Certification in data analysis or a related field, such as Certified Data Analyst (CDA) or Certified Analytics Professional (CAP).
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with strong self-motivation and discipline to meet deadlines and deliver results.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify trends and patterns.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
