About the Job

As a Senior Manager, Training Development, you'll lead a team of instructional designers and subject matter experts in the development of training programs and materials for our Contact Centers, Airports, and Freight operations. Your primary focus will be on creating engaging, interactive, and effective training solutions that meet the needs of our colleagues and drive business results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of instructional designers and subject matter experts in the creation of training programs and materials.
  • Apply agile methodologies and emerging technologies to drive innovation and improve training effectiveness.
  • Design and deliver remote learning solutions that combine self-paced training with interactive elements and other innovative training media and strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, technology, business, and finance, to ensure that training solutions align with business needs and reduce colleague effort.
  • Identify, develop, and implement creative training and learning strategies that leverage emerging technologies and best practices.
  • Plan, develop, and deliver high-impact training programs within budget and timeline, using technology and emphasizing quality, impact, and speed to market.
  • Establish and track metrics that measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and impact of all training programs, ensuring optimal resource utilization and speed of delivery.
  • Lead the training development team to achieve execution objectives for training programs and materials, including 80% of newly added team members achieving anticipated goals within 90 days, and 85% of repeat training participants achieving anticipated performance expectations.
  • Apply data-driven insights to develop solutions that improve training effectiveness, efficiency, and impact.
  • Develop strategies for dynamic content development, support, and delivery that are centered on a modularized approach and coordinated training responses to address performance gaps.
  • Oversee SCORM-compliant Knowledge Management System (KMS) training content and related assessment tests and quizzes.
  • Closely collaborate and coordinate with various stakeholders to leverage available resources and maintain alignment with critical business objectives.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Educational Psychology, Learning and Development, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience leading instructional design teams with a proven ability to identify and apply new learning technologies and strategies.
  • Experience in leadership roles, developing colleagues, and supervising cross-functional teams.
  • Broad experience managing and executing large, complex projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of administrative experience in Learning and Development, Technical Training, program management, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful training programs that improve worker performance and positively impact business performance and efficiency.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles.
  • Ability to successfully manage content/training projects at low costs using agile methodologies.
  • Excellent technical skills with high proficiency in MS Office applications, Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, or similar tools.
  • Emphasis on ongoing development and growth for self and team through resources like ASTD, COPC.com, and Gartner Contact Center research.
  • Ability to use a variety of teaching methods to engage learners, including models, practice, and gamification.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; highly receptive and professional at all times.
  • Results-driven, future-focused leader with a natural inclination for seeking opportunities that disrupt existing business models.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle complex topics easily and collaborate effectively with all levels, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and develop strong, functional relationships at all levels, both within and outside the organization.
