We're seeking a talented and experienced Quantitative Analytics Specialist to join our team in Charlotte, NC, and contribute to our mission of making a positive impact on the lives of our customers and communities. **About the Role** As a Quantitative Analytics Specialist, you'll play a critical role in supporting our Corporate Risk team in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across various business lines. You'll work closely with senior leaders, risk managers, and other stakeholders to develop and implement risk management strategies, models, and processes that meet or exceed regulatory requirements and industry standards. Your expertise in quantitative analysis, model development, and risk management will be essential in helping us navigate the complex and ever-changing risk landscape. **Key Responsibilities** * Perform model approvals and archiving proof of approval exercises, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. * Develop and maintain benchmarking and alternative models in Python/R/SAS, leveraging your expertise in programming languages and statistical software. * Conduct thorough testing of models created in/for various business lines, identifying potential shortcomings and trade-offs with other methodologies. * Manage and mitigate model risk to meet or exceed regulatory and industry guidelines, working closely with risk managers and other stakeholders. * Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced validators and colleagues, promoting a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing. * Communicate model risk findings and constraints to key partners, ensuring effective risk management and mitigation strategies. * Contribute to the development of model structure and model use practices, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices. * Offer scientific support and expertise on a wide range of business initiatives, working closely with senior leaders and risk managers. * Collaborate with senior management and controllers on key modeling issues, including risk identification, management, and mitigation. **Requirements** * A graduate degree in Finance, Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. * Two (2) years of experience in the field of quantitative analysis or a related role, with a strong background in risk management and model validation. * Proficiency in programming languages used for quantitative analysis and data programming, including SAS, R, C++, Python, SQL, and MATLAB. * Experience with logical programming, Linux and Unix operating systems, predictive modeling using statistical and AI methods, stochastic modeling, and computational mathematics. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. * Excellent collaboration and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience with Hadoop and NoSQL databases. * Knowledge of predictive modeling, machine learning, and artificial intelligence techniques. * Familiarity with risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements, such as Basel III and CCAR. * Certification in risk management, model validation, or a related field. **What We Offer** At Wells Fargo, we're committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment that values and respects the contributions of all employees.
