**Key Responsibilities**
As a Remote Medical Customer Service Representative, your key responsibilities will include:
* Answering incoming calls professionally, accurately, timely, and courteously
* Determining the nature of calls and logging information in the Communication Log
* Accessing member information using proprietary systems to assist callers
* Forwarding inquiries requiring further research to the appropriate department
* Transferring calls to specialized queues for complex issues (e.g., claims, authorizations)
* Utilizing available resources to provide timely responses
* Managing time effectively to ensure calls are answered promptly, and follow-ups are completed in a timely manner
* Meeting or exceeding minimum key job accountabilities for the Customer Service Representative role
* Documenting all calls appropriately
* Attending weekly staff meetings to discuss issues and promote teamwork
* Responding to requests from internal and external customers as needed
**Essential Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* A high school diploma or equivalent
* A minimum of one year of customer service experience; inbound call center experience preferred
* Basic computer skills
* Strong verbal communication skills
