You will partner closely with Account Executives, Marketing, and Product teams to identify, qualify, and nurture high‑value prospects in the clinical and biotech space.

The ideal candidate brings a blend of scientific acumen—particularly in genetics and bioinformatics—and a proven sales track record. You will be comfortable navigating complex technical conversations, translating intricate genomic concepts into compelling business value, and managing a dynamic pipeline using Salesforce CRM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Territory Prospecting: Conduct high‑volume outbound outreach—including cold calls, email sequences, and LinkedIn engagement—to generate qualified leads within an assigned US territory.
  • Lead Qualification: Use consultative questioning techniques to assess prospect needs, budget, timeline, and decision‑making authority, ensuring a seamless handoff to Account Executives.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders such as hospital genomics directors, research scientists, and biotech procurement managers.
  • Upsell & Renewal Support: Identify opportunities for expanding existing accounts through additional modules, data subscriptions, or new use‑case deployments.
  • Forecasting & Reporting: Produce accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts, and maintain a transparent pipeline visible to leadership.
  • Performance Scorecards: Publish weekly scorecards that capture bookings, pipeline health, and conversion metrics, enabling data‑driven optimization.
  • Customer Training & Enablement: Organize virtual training sessions and product demos to educate prospects on Genomenon’s platform capabilities.
  • Collaboration with Account Management: Partner with Account Managers to co‑develop territory plans, share market insights, and align on strategic priorities.
  • CRM Management: Keep Salesforce up‑to‑date with detailed activity logs, contact information, and opportunity stages, ensuring data integrity across the organization.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current on genomics trends, regulatory developments, and competitive landscape to maintain subject‑matter expertise.

Essential Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in a scientific, business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of B2B sales experience, with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed quota.
  • Hands‑on experience or strong familiarity with genetics—whether through work in a genetics testing lab, as a certified genetic counselor, or similar roles.
  • At least 1 year of active Salesforce CRM usage, including pipeline management and reporting.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to translate complex scientific concepts into clear, value‑focused messaging.
  • Self‑starter attitude with proven ability to work independently in a remote environment while staying aligned with team goals.
  • Analytical mindset—comfort with data analysis, performance metrics, and process optimization.
  • Strong collaborative spirit—experience working cross‑functionally with product, marketing, and customer success teams.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree or MBA, indicating deeper business acumen.
  • Prior experience selling into the bioinformatics, precision medicine, or pharmaceutical markets.
  • Direct exposure to clinical market segments—hospital systems, academic research centers, or biotech firms.
  • Familiarity with additional sales enablement tools (e.g., Outreach, Gong, Salesloft) and data visualization platforms.
  • Multilingual ability or experience working with international partners.

Skills & Competencies for Success

  • Strategic Prospecting: Ability to design and execute multi‑channel outreach campaigns that resonate with scientific audiences.
