Job Overview

We are looking for full-time and part-time regular employees, as well as seasonal workers and temporary employees, to fill this remote position. As a remote worker, you will be trained remotely and will be required to work from home in a designated work area with company-provided technology equipment. You must have a stable connection to your Internet Service Provider, with the ability to participate in online meetings over a reliable and consistent network (minimum internet download of 50 Mbps and 10 Mbps upload speed).

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls in a professional, accurate, timely, and courteous manner, ensuring that all members receive exceptional service.
  • Ascertain the nature of the call and record information in the Communication Log, maintaining accurate and detailed records of all interactions.
  • Look up member information using proprietary blithequark systems and provide information to the caller, demonstrating a thorough understanding of our programs and services.
  • Forward logs requiring further research to the appropriate department, ensuring that all issues are resolved efficiently and effectively.
  • Transfer callers to the appropriate queue if the question is of a more complex issue (claims, authorizations, etc.), demonstrating a ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Utilize appropriate resources, including those online, to provide timely responses to members' inquiries, showcasing your ability to think critically and solve problems.
  • Manage time to ensure calls are answered within required timeframes and appropriate follow-up is done in a timely manner, demonstrating a strong sense of organization and prioritization.
  • Meet or exceed minimum key job accountabilities established for the Customer Service Representative position, consistently striving for excellence in all aspects of your work.
  • Document all calls appropriately, maintaining accurate and detailed records of all interactions.
  • Attend weekly staff and other meetings to discuss issues and foster teamwork among department personnel, demonstrating a commitment to collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Respond to requests for internal and external customers and/or clients, as required, providing exceptional service and support to all stakeholders.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, demonstrating a foundation in education and a commitment to learning.
  • A minimum of one year of experience performing customer service duties, with inbound call center experience preferred, showcasing your ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide exceptional service to customers.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications, demonstrating your ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with members, colleagues, and other stakeholders, both orally and in writing.
