Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pharmacy Technician to join our team at blithequark. Your day will be filled with purpose as you perform critical order entry tasks, collaborate with other team members in the medication dispensing process, and provide exceptional customer service in our closed-door pharmacy setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Triage customer service requests by department, urgency, and the information or response required, ensuring timely and appropriate action.
  • Calculate and/or verify the correct dosage based on prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and safety.
  • Assist in reviewing that narcotic prescriptions are processed in a timely manner, adhering to regulatory and operational standards.
  • Provide the dispensing pharmacist with vital information regarding allergies, drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, and other items flagged by the computer system, contributing to patient safety and well-being.
  • Create and maintain accurate customer records, ensuring data integrity and compliance with privacy laws.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Essential Qualifications

  • Certification, licensure, or registration as a pharmacy technician, or as required by state law, demonstrating your expertise and commitment to the field.
  • One or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or in a call center environment, providing a foundation in customer service and operational efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the long-term care industry, offering valuable insights into the needs of our patient population.
  • PTCB National Certification, indicating a high level of competence and dedication to the profession.
