[Remote] Staff Research Associate V
                                Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. NCIRE - The Northern California Institute for Research and Education, Inc. is seeking a Staff Research Associate V to work on quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing the adoption of genetic testing for Veterans. The role involves supporting frontline clinicians, managing data, and facilitating the implementation of genetic testing strategies within an interdisciplinary research team.
Responsibilities
• Provide support and guidance to frontline clinicians and their team members as they navigate the process of change and adopt mainstreaming of genetic testing.
• Remind frontline clinicians of available educational materials and information resources regarding genetic testing.
• Host virtual “office hours” to help troubleshoot challenges and barriers frontline clinicians encounter regarding genetic testing.
• Create periodic audit-feedback reports for individual frontline clinicians with input from the data analyst.
• Assist in the development of interview guides and protocols.
• Participate in key informant interviews and focus groups, as needed.
• Assist project manager with both quantitative and qualitative data management, including data collection, entry, verification, and maintenance.
• Create tables and figures for scientific reports and publications using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other design software.
• Assist in creating PowerPoint presentations and research posters.
• Conduct literature searches using PubMed and other internet search engines.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills
• Master’s degree in genetic counseling or two years of relevant experience.
• Experience with project management.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong inter-personal skills for working closely with other team members in a multi-disciplinary context and for interacting with research participants.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Board certification in genetic counseling.
• Licensed as genetic counselor.
• Knowledge of foundational and emerging qualitative research methodologies.
• Prior publications in health services research, implementation science, or related fields.
