MRI Instructor / Faculty Member
Description
We are seeking a driven and passionate MRI Instructor to join our educational team for an ARMRIT 18-month Primary Pathway program. The ideal candidate will bring both MRI clinical expertise and a commitment to student success, guiding aspiring MRI technologists through foundational and advanced MRI concepts, safety, anatomy, pathology, patient care, and technical skills. The candidate will take an immediate role in content design and development.
Requirements
• Must be ARMRIT or ARRT(MR) certified and in good standing.
• Minimum of [3–5] years of clinical MRI experience.
• Prior teaching and/or precepting experience strongly preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in using learning management systems (LMS) and digital teaching tools.
• Associate degree or higher required.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with curriculum and didactic content development, instructional design, learning assessment, and accreditation standards.
• Familiarity with clinical site coordination and externship management.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field
KEY RESPONCIBILITIES
• Co-develop and deliver engaging, ARMRIT-compliant curriculum for didactic and clinical instruction.
• Provide instruction on topics such as MRI physics, cross-sectional anatomy/pathology, patient care, MRI safety, and imaging protocols.
• Supervise and assess student performance in classroom and/or clinical settings.
• Prepare and develop lesson plans, instructional materials, assessments, and other teaching aids.
• Monitor student progress and provide academic advisement and support.
• Maintain accurate student records, grades, and attendance.
• Ensure compliance with ARMRIT accreditation standards and institutional policies.
• Collaborate with colleagues to continually improve and monitor program content development and outcomes.
• Demonstrate strong work ethic, organizational, and time management skills.
• Learn and utilize a diverse array of technologies, tools, and software platforms as needed.
• Stay current with MRI technology and teaching methodologies through professional development.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the essential functions of this job, the incumbent must be able to do the following: stand for extended periods; sit for extended periods; bend and reach for filing and other job-related functions; climb up and down stairs; bend, stoop, and lift to move and retrieve materials; pull, push, and lift; reach both above and below shoulder height. Specific visual abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to inspect work visually. Manual dexterity to operate computers and other office equipment required. Hold a current driver’s license and be able to drive. An employee must meet the physical demands described above to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. Reasonable accommodation may be made.
