Our Digital Video & Audio team team is focused on helping people tell stories through video, motion, and audio. Through our products, we support a wide range of creatives - from high-end Hollywood professionals to emerging voices. We are building the tools that allow anyone to bring their ideas and stories to life, and our team is looking for an Staff Experience Designer to help build the future of video editing and storytelling!</p><p></p><h2>What you’ll do</h2><ul><li><p>You will develop experiences to support new video editing workflows that help some of the world’s best filmmakers, editors, directors, and producers make their best work. </p></li><li><p>Be a go-to subject matter expert in designing video editing tools and experiences </p></li><li><p>Operate at multiple altitudes; move seamlessly from designing pixel-level details to high-level vision.</p></li><li><p>Find opportunities to create simplicity out of complexity. Make a plan and take action in ambiguous circumstances.</p></li><li><p>Explore design ideas via sketches, storyboards, wireframes, and prototypes. Use feedback and research to refine and iterate toward product objectives. Pair strong communication skills with a user-centered perspective in order to influence and persuade. Move from big picture, to tiny details with ease and grace.</p></li><li><p>Dig in with prototypers, engineers and researchers to understand the capabilities of new and developing technologies to match user needs.</p></li><li><p>Be an advocate for the user. Use customer feedback, research, and data analytics to discover unexpected insights and gain a deeper understanding of users goals.</p></li><li><p>Proactively collaborate across multiple teams to align on strategy and extend design patterns.</p></li></ul><p></p><h2>What you’ll bring to the team</h2><p>We are looking for someone who shares a passion for video tools and rigorous attention to design detail. We’re building and launching the next generation of professional creative software, and we need extraordinary talent to craft it. If this excites you, we’re excited to chat!<br /> </p><p><b>Must haves:</b></p><ul><li><p>Deep understanding of creative tooling</p></li><li><p>3+ years of experience and/or training in digital product design or a related field</p></li><li><p>Experience with Adobe tools like Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop - and other design & prototyping tools such as Keynote, Sketch, Origami, or Figma.</p></li><li><p>Video editing and/or content creation experience</p></li><li><p>Passion for art, creativity, and empowering people to create</p></li><li><p>Ability to tackle ambiguity and uncertainty</p></li><li><p>Experience delivering intuitive experiences for complex and technical products</p></li><li><p>Deep empathy for, and curiosity around the work of, creative professionals</p></li><li><p>Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication and storytelling skills</p></li><li><p>Good sense of design process, and ability to work quickly and nimbly</p></li><li><p>A highly collaborative nature and proven ability to lead design strategy and execution</p></li><li><p>Excellent design craft and the ability to blend that with strong business sense</p></li><li><p>Strong attention to detail and ability to weave delightful design details into functional software</p></li></ul><p><b>Nice-to-haves:</b></p><ul><li><p>Prior experience crafting products for designers, artists, and other creatives</p></li><li><p>Deep knowledge around and passion for accessible and inclusive design</p></li><li><p>First-hand experience in a creative field other than software design (illustration, video editing, 3D-rendering, visual effects, publishing, etc.)</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Accessibility Design Skills:</b></p><ul><li><p>Experience designing accessible and inclusive interfaces for people with disabilities.</p></li><li><p>Understanding of applying WCAG conformance criteria in design, specifically testing comps, wireframes, and prototypes for accessibility standards.</p></li><li><p>Accessibility certifications CPACC, WAS, CPWA, or ADS from the IAAP preferred.</p></li></ul><p></p><h2>About Adobe Design</h2><p>Adobe Design creates tools that amplify the world’s ability to create and communicate. The U.S. pay range for this position is $95,100 -- $194,400 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
