Our client is a leading logistics and transportation company looking for a dedicated and organized Remote Truck Dispatcher to join their growing team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the United States. The Remote Truck Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling the movement of freight, ensuring efficient and timely deliveries. You will act as the primary point of contact for drivers, customers, and internal teams, managing all aspects of the transportation process. Key responsibilities include planning optimal routes, assigning loads to drivers, monitoring driver progress and adherence to schedules, communicating with customers regarding delivery status, and resolving any issues or delays that may arise. You will utilize dispatch software and other communication tools to maintain real-time visibility of the fleet. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a meticulous attention to detail. Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or transportation is highly desirable. You must be comfortable working independently and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, remote environment. Responsibilities: Plan and assign daily routes for truck drivers to ensure efficient delivery. Monitor driver locations and adherence to schedules using dispatch software. Track shipments and provide timely updates to customers. Address and resolve any transportation issues or emergencies promptly. Maintain accurate dispatch records and logs. Optimize routes for fuel efficiency and timely deliveries. Coordinate with maintenance teams for vehicle upkeep. Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations. Qualifications: Proven experience in truck dispatching, logistics, or transportation coordination. Familiarity with dispatch software and GPS tracking systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a remote setting. Detail-oriented and organized. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Must have a reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office setup.
