Job Overview
The Data Entry Specialist/Clerk will play a vital role in supporting our manufacturing teams, focusing on processing production orders, creating labels for Quality Control (QC) samples and bulk materials, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with inventory controllers to create Bin locations for purified and conjugated bulks and assist the Inventory and Planning teams with resubmitting re-test samples. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process production orders and create labels for QC samples and bulk materials, ensuring accuracy and compliance with ISO requirements
 - Assist with batch records, including prefilling, reviewing, verifying, and scanning/attaching documents into our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
 - Collaborate with inventory controllers to identify and maintain accurate Bin locations for purified and conjugated bulks
 - Support the Inventory and Planning teams with resubmitting re-test samples and performing other duties as necessary
 - Work under ISO requirements, following the "line of clearance" rule and adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
 - Participate in other projects and responsibilities as required, contributing to the continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes
 
Essential Qualifications and Competencies
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma plus 6 months of data entry experience, or a Biotech Certificate or Associate's degree in a science or related field
 - Strong competency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
 - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
 - A strong focus on innovation, continuous improvement, and attention to detail
 - The ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, with a flexible and proactive approach to work
 
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications and experience are highly desirable:
- Prior hands-on experience with Microsoft Navision System (NAV) or other ERP systems
 - Some laboratory experience, which will help you understand the manufacturing process and contribute to process improvements
 - A basic understanding of manufacturing processes and familiarity with any ERP system, which will enable you to make a more significant impact in this role
