Our client is seeking a creative and experienced Online Curriculum Developer to join their fully remote team. This position is vital for designing, developing, and implementing engaging and effective online learning experiences for a diverse student population. As an Online Curriculum Developer, you will be responsible for translating educational objectives into high-quality digital content, utilizing instructional design principles and modern pedagogical approaches. You will collaborate closely with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and technology specialists to create innovative courses that meet learning outcomes. This is a remote-first opportunity, ideal for a self-motivated professional who excels in asynchronous collaboration and is passionate about leveraging technology to enhance education. Responsibilities: Design and develop engaging and interactive online courses aligned with curriculum standards and learning objectives. Create a variety of learning materials, including lesson plans, multimedia content, assessments, and interactive exercises. Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure content accuracy and relevance. Utilize learning management systems (LMS) to build and manage online course content. Apply instructional design principles (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to create effective learning experiences. Develop assessments that accurately measure student learning and progress. Incorporate multimedia elements (videos, graphics, simulations) to enhance engagement. Ensure all course materials are accessible and adhere to universal design for learning (UDL) principles. Conduct quality assurance reviews of online courses to identify and resolve issues. Stay current with trends and best practices in online education and instructional design. Provide support and guidance to faculty and instructors using the online curriculum. Manage multiple curriculum development projects simultaneously. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within a remote team. Qualifications: Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Curriculum Development, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in online curriculum development and instructional design. Proven expertise in designing engaging online courses for higher education or professional development. Proficiency with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard). Strong understanding of adult learning theories and instructional design methodologies. Experience creating multimedia content using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar. Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and manage projects effectively in a fully remote setting. Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG) is highly desirable. Portfolio of developed online courses or learning materials is required.
