                                DescriptionThe Senior Learning Design Professional uses instructional design, cognitive psychology and adult learning theory to determine the appropriate solution to a knowledge or performance gap. The Senior Learning Design Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Learning Design Professional analyzes the needs of our Information Technology teams and prescribes interventions to close education and performance gaps. If there are training gaps, the Senior Learning Design Professional designs and develops the training solutions and evaluates the outcomes.Key responsibilities:Uses consultative skills to conduct an in-depth needs analysis with clients to identify gaps and determine whether learning solutions are appropriate.Builds strong relationships with business partners and other internal support teams.Collaborates with subject matter experts to gather information and get input and feedback on approach and content.Writes effective learning objectives and performance assessments to measure training effectiveness.Ensures course materials are current and relevant to training needs.Tracks and analyzes the training program's effectiveness by examining learners' satisfaction levels, proficiency testing, and job performance improvement.Plans, organizes, designs, and develops training curriculum, eLearning, video, curriculum, job aids and programs to meet specific training needs.Begins to influence the department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for the project, and performs work without direction.Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree, certificates in Instructional Design or Education or 5 years of related experienceProficiency in Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline or similar eLearning development toolsProgressive business experience with a focus on best practices in learning design, strategies, and adult learning theoriesPrior experience creating eLearning and virtual instructor-led trainingMust be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiencesStrong communication, organization, and customer service skillsPreferred QualificationsMaster's Degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, Organizational Design, Technology or related fieldPrior experience in Information Technology, understanding 'tech speak' or quickly learning technologyPrior experience using a Learning Management System, preferably Cornerstone on DemandPrior demonstrated capability in leading projects and/or teamsAdditional Information:Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters.
