As a Lead Data Engineer at blithequark, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our data-driven initiatives and contributing to the success of our organization. **Job Summary** We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead Data Engineer to join our team at blithequark. As a Lead Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing large-scale data solutions that meet the needs of our business stakeholders. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design data architectures, and develop data pipelines that are scalable, efficient, and secure. Your expertise in data engineering, data warehousing, and big data technologies will be essential in driving the success of our data-driven initiatives. **Key Responsibilities** * Contribute to the design and development of our data items and data centers around commitment and maintenance examination and information science * Plan and develop versatile information warehousing arrangements, building ETL pipelines in large data conditions (cloud, on-prem, hybrid) * Our tech stack includes Hadoop, AWS, Snowflake, Flink, and Windstream, and languages include Python, Scala * Help engineer data arrangements/structures and define data models for the core data warehouse and data shops * Collaborate with Data Product Managers, Data Modelers, and Data Architects to design, implement, and deliver successful data solutions * Maintain detailed documentation of your work and changes to ensure data quality and data governance * Ensure high operational productivity and quality of your solutions to meet SLAs and support obligations to our clients (Data Science, Data Analysis groups) * Be a proactive member and advocate of agile/scrum practice to ensure well-being and cycle enhancements for your team **Essential Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field * Strong SQL skills and ability to write queries to extract data and build performant datasets * Experience with distributed frameworks like Flink, Hadoop (HDFS, Hive, Voila, PySpark) to query and process data * Strong programming skills in Python, Java/Scala * Experience with at least one major MPP or cloud database technology (Snowflake, Redshift, Large Query) * Strong involvement in data integration toolsets (i.e Windstream) and writing and maintaining data pipelines * Strong understanding of data modeling strategies and data warehousing standard practices and procedures * Familiarity with Scrum and Agile approaches **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience with cloud advances like AWS (S3, EMR, EC2) * Strong understanding of data governance and data quality principles * Experience with data visualization tools and technologies * Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams **What We Offer** * Competitive salary and benefits package * Opportunities for career growth and professional development * Collaborative and dynamic work environment * Recognition and rewards for outstanding performance * Access to cutting-edge technologies and tools * Flexible work arrangements and remote work options **How to Apply** If you are a motivated and skilled data engineer looking for a new challenge, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity at blithequark.
