As an External Support Engineer at blithequark, you will be the primary point of contact for external content creation teams, providing technical support and guidance on the use of our internal tools and workflows. You will be responsible for creating reference materials, providing training, and troubleshooting issues to ensure seamless collaboration between teams. We are committed to fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning, and we are seeking like-minded individuals to join our team. **Key Responsibilities** As an External Support Engineer at blithequark, you will be responsible for: * Providing technical support to content/external teams in regards to use of content tools * Creating reference materials and providing training to get external teams up to speed with the toolset * Solving and debugging possible issues with tools and workflows to quickly resolve issues for users * Escalating more complex or problematic issues to the tool development team, and working with production to track these issues in JIRA * Advocating for tools, workflow improvements, and suggestions from external teams * Partnering with other engineers to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality * Guiding or leading cross-disciplinary dialogs to drive features from initial concept to completion * Exemplifying reliability, accountability, and professionalism in all work-related interactions **Essential Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you will need: * Ability to read and understand C# code * Good written and verbal communication, including working with external partners * Positive attitude and ability to receive and provide objective and constructive feedback * Excellent organization skills * Self-motivating; able to prioritize and manage numerous requests simultaneously * Computer Science or related degree, or equivalent work experience * Experience supporting a live service or tool environment * Unity 3D game and tool development experience * Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other defect tracking software * iOS and Android mobile development experience * 5 years' experience in delivering production-level code in a professional environment **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, the following qualifications would be a plus: * Experience working with cloud-based tools and services * Knowledge of Agile development methodologies * Experience with version control systems such as Git * Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools **Work Environment and Culture** As a remote employee at blithequark, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere, at any time. However, you will be expected to be available for meetings and collaborations during our core hours of 10:00am to 6:00pm CST. Our salary range for this role is typically $150,000 - $325,000, depending on your specific job family, background, skills, and experience.
