Day in the Life of a Lead Pharmacy Technician at blithequark

In this dynamic and rewarding role, you will work closely with our team of pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth operation of our front-end pharmacy services. Your day will be filled with a variety of tasks and responsibilities, including:

  • Collaborating with senior technicians to coordinate daily production of assigned areas, including data entry, customer service, and automation
  • Troubleshooting and assisting with front-end processes and workflow issues to identify solutions and improve efficiency
  • Partnering with pharmacy leaders on team training plans and collaborating with field training teams as needed to ensure the ongoing development and growth of our team members
  • Assisting in orientation, training, and education programs for all controlled substances in accordance with policies, procedures, state, and federal laws
  • Providing exceptional customer service and support to our customers, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner

Required Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Verifiable High School Diploma or GED
  • Certification, licensure, or registration as a pharmacy technician, or as required by state law
  • One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician, with a strong understanding of pharmacy operations and customer service principles
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy and quality in all aspects of your work

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

While not required, the following qualifications and skills are preferred:

  • Prior experience in the long-term care industry, with a strong understanding of the unique needs and challenges of this population
  • PTCB National Certification, or willingness to obtain certification within a specified timeframe
