Key Responsibilities
- Answering inbound calls and interacting with customers in a professional, empathetic, and compassionate manner
- Providing information and assistance in accordance with established policies, procedures, and privacy laws
- Assisting customers with program enrollment and routing them to the appropriate contacts via three-way calls
- Assisting customers with their communication needs, including relay services for callers with speech or hearing impairments and translation services for callers who don't speak English
- Placing outbound calls as needed to share time-sensitive information with customers
- Using multiple computer systems to access data and document information
About You
To be successful in this role, you should have at least one year of customer service experience, with knowledge of public benefit programs and prior experience in a health or human services setting being highly desirable. You will need to possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, great active listening skills, and strong attention to detail. Additionally, you should have strong PC skills, including the ability to quickly learn new computer applications, a positive attitude, empathy, patience, and professionalism.

Your Home Office Environment
To be a Customer Support Representative at blithequark, you will need to have a dedicated home office environment that meets our technical requirements. This includes:
- A computer with Windows 10 or 11 operating system, 8GB of RAM, and a sound card
- Access to high-speed, hardwired internet
- Dual monitors
- A USB noise-cancelling headset
- A webcam for certification and training purposes
Flexible Hours of Operation
As a Customer Support Representative at blithequark, you will enjoy flexible scheduling, with the ability to select your own hours of work within our client's hours of operation. Our hours of operation are:
- Monday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET
- Tuesday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM ET
- Wednesday, 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM ET
- Thursday and Friday, 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM ET
Pay and Perks
This flexible opportunity pays independent contractors $13 per hour.
