**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced full stack pharmacy technician to join our team at blithequark. As a pharmacy technician, you will be responsible for assisting pharmacists in the exercise of pharmacy, performing various tasks, and providing exceptional patient care. This is a full-time remote position, offering a competitive salary of $75,000 per year and a comprehensive benefits package.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Assist pharmacists in the exercise of pharmacy, including filling prescriptions, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for potential interactions
* Use pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring accurate and efficient data entry
* Develop strong relationships with patients and customers, providing exceptional customer service and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
* Model and share customer service best practices with team members, promoting a unique and delightful customer experience
* Perform various tasks, including ordering, unpacking, and storing shipments of prescription medications, as well as assisting with inventory management and stock control
* May assist pharmacists in administering medical services, including collecting and labeling blood/urine samples from patients and other medical services as required
* Assist pharmacy supervisor and personnel pharmacist in developing and maintaining relationships with the local medical community, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers
**Essential Qualifications**
* Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
* Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment
* Prefer previous work experience with blithequark
* Desire math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications
* Desire computer skills, including proficiency in pharmacy systems and software
* Desire knowledge of store inventory management
* Prefer % certification
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a related field
* Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA guidelines
* Experience with inventory management and stock control
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, customers, and healthcare providers
**Education & Personal Development**
* Earn and maintain % certification through the blithequark training program and/or state required certification/registration
* Attend training and complete PPLs as assigned by manager and acquire continuing education credits
* Maintain expertise and knowledge in healthcare and pharmacy, including latest information and developments
* Through completion of the blithequark pharmacy technician apprenticeship program, experience qualifies for 8 (8) college credit hours as recognized by the American Council on Education (ACE)
