- *Responsibilities**
As an Experienced Insurance Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for handling property and casualty (p&c) related customer service and/or billing inquiries and problems via the telephone. Your primary objectives will be to:
- Provide policyholders with plan coverage information, quotes, policy changes, and policy change impacts to premium
- Review and update policies to enhance retention and better meet the needs of the consumer
- Counsel policyholders concerning appropriate coverage, policy limits, payment options, and state laws that will best meet their needs for sufficient protection against risks covered by Property and Casualty insurance
- Make appropriate recommendations and/or changes to the policy and gain policyholder acceptance to process the changes
- Receive and respond to calls and emails received by the insurance service center, documenting all activity in EPIC
- Utilize knowledge of insurance industry and club insurance agency policies and procedures to provide efficient and professional customer service
- Identify opportunities to apply discounts, process insurance verification forms for insured, and act as liaison for information exchange between customer and insurance companies
- Process changes to policies within EPIC as well as submit changes to specific companies, following up with company to ensure change requests have been processed in a timely manner
- Review policy information and references company-specific claims procedures to assist insured in filing claims
- Mail insured documentation to be signed and returned as necessary, following up to ensure documentation has been returned in a timely manner from member/customer
- Recognize cross-sell opportunities (membership and insurance) and obtain quote information
- *Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- High school diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of increasingly complex customer service experience in an insurance environment
- Property and Casualty insurance license required
- Membership license preferred and/or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate complex insurance policies and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
